BP were relaunching their code of ethics, and wanted to have a film to deliver as part of the relaunch. Initially we spoke to them about producing a short promo-film that would highlight some of the key behaviours of the new code but would be used sparingly and used as a launch film rather than as part of the new integrated training package.
However, it soon became apparent that there was an opportunity to do something more with the filmed elements and to use film as a prompt for discussion and to show the new behaviours in action. As a result we set about writing four separate films, based on real case studies from within BP and set all around the world. Although we had to shoot in the UK – we set the film in Texas, Brazil, China and Southampton.
