Gambling with Lives approached us needing an educational resource for use in schools, youth clubs and football clubs – a resource which would deliver engaging, emotional, and transformative lessons around the harm of gambling addiction for young people.
In response we produced a comprehensive resource that included:
A modular drama film of 20 minutes, following a young gambling addict as he transitions from teenage gambling to an addiction impacting all areas of his adult life (with intercutting supporting interviews from former gamblers, medical specialists and bereaved family members), X4 PSHE lesson plans for teachers/educators, a 2D animated film exploring the history of gambling throughout the ages; from Ancient Egypt to the present day, a stock-led film exploring the transformation of gambling in the 20th century to its current dominant digital format and finally an interactive app exposing the predatory mechanics and design choices which go into gambling games – in which the class/students design their own gambling game.
