The Brief
Video Arts wanted films exploring wellbeing issues which impact female staff – periods, and menopause. The films needed to tackle what are often uncomfortable, but sorely needed conversations.
Our Approach
Working with the talented writer duo A&E Comedy, we produced two films: A Period Drama and The Menopause Takeover. These short films use comedy to ask an audience of managers, if, and how, they are supporting their female colleagues at work. Attitudinal change was the goal – achieved here through some high concept scripts and stellar comic performances from a wonderful cast. ‘A Period Drama’ delivers a new slogan for how we should talk about periods at work: ‘don’t make a drama out of a period’!
